JET.X Couriers, a Division of the FP du Toit Transport Group, is proud to announce the strengthening of its relationship with IVECO South Africa and Iveco Namibia. Today JET.X is taking delivery of another 10 Iveco delivery vehicles. These vehicles will be used on the cross border routes between South Africa and Windhoek and for local deliveries within Namibia.
By using the correct paring of engine size and loadbox configuration, JET.X couriers can achieve better load optimization and improved fuel efficiency.
The Iveco brand has been employed by JET.X Couriers for quite some time. The reliability and low cost of operation, backed by good service supplied by Iveco, were the main drivers for the company to expand the Iveco fleet.
The FP du Toit Transport Group is known for its forward thinking approach to applying new technology and design to provide customers with reliable and cost effective transport solutions. The overnight cross border operation is very demanding with each vehicle covering more than 20 000 km per month with the result that these vehicles need to be replaced on a 18 month cycle to retain the level of reliability that JET.X Couriers strive to offer its customers.
Recently 48 truck tractors were replaced in the fleet of long haul vehicles. These investments show the company’s belief in the Namibian market and the commitment to strengthen its resources, even during tough economic conditions.
The new acquisitions expand the Group’s total fleet to 560 motorized units. With a staff compliment of almost 1000, the Group is the largest privately owned transporter in Namibia, and one of the bigger role players in the SADC region.
