STORE MAN – WORKSHOP WALVIS BAY
Please note that this advert will run concurrently with an external one.
The position’s main purpose is to assist the Assistant Foreman Workshop to manage all functions related to parts stock and equipment and main duties include:
• Receiving stock / parts and packing of shelves.
• Stock control including random stock checks as well as assisting with minor stock checks.
• Issuing stock & oil to technicians.
• Issuing & controlling special tools & fire extinguishers.
• Keeping the store clean and neat.
• Complies with health & safety legislation.
• Perform any other duties as may be requested from time to as reasonably expected from a store man.
The suitable candidate must meet the following requirements:
• Must be a Namibian Citizen.
• Must have Grade 12 with at least 3-5 years’ experience as a storeman.
• Valid drivers’ license will be an added advantage.
• Must have excellent knowledge of parts, equipment and special tool and their usage.
• Must have knowledge of Health & Safety Laws.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (English & Afrikaans).
• Must have high attention to detail.
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Must be able to work under pressure, prioritize and multitask, be self-motivated and ambitious.
• Must be professional, well-groomed and have sober habits.
• Be methodical and ensure operating procedures for the stores are enforced on all levels.
• Must be meticulous, well organized and focused on service delivery.
• Police Clearance (not older than 3 months).
