DIESEL MECHANIC-WINDHOEK



This position reports to the Workshop Manager and is based in Windhoek.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include:

• Perform service and repairs on trucks, trailers, and other transport equipment.
• Other general duties in line with the responsibilities and scope of a Diesel Mechanic.

The suitable applicant will:
• Be a Namibian Citizen.
• Have a valid CE driver’s license.
• Have Grade 12 and be a qualified diesel mechanic (trade test completed) with a minimum of 3 Years’ experience as a diesel mechanic in
transport / automotive industry.
• Have excellent knowledge of equipment / trucks / forklifts, hydraulics & electronics (Mercedes Benz Actros / Scania P310).
• Have a valid Code of Conduct (Police Clearance Certificate) not older than 3 months.
• Have sober habits.
• Be open minded and willing to learn.
• Be computer literate, have good diagnostic skills, the ability to work as part of a team and to work under pressure.
• Have excellent interpersonal & communication skills, with the ability to supervise and guide others.
• Be able to cope with a demanding work life.
• Have knowledge of the applicable Health & Safety Laws.
