FORKLIFT DRIVER-WINDHOEK

This position reports to the Depot Manager and is based in Windhoek at Brakwater.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include:
• Safe loading/off loading/moving of goods with forklift.
• Assist with Sorting, picking, verifying and storing by waybill number/ number of parcels per consignment.
• Assist with Labelling of parcels with barcoded stickers.
• Complete the daily checks on the forklifts and report any problems immediately.
• Report and damage to freight caused by handling with the forklift immediately.
• Basic forklift maintenance.
• Adhering to all HSE requirements.
• Other general duties in line with the responsibilities of a Forklift Driver.

The suitable applicant will have:
• A valid Grade 10 (with at least 23 points).
• 1-2 years’ working experience in forklift operating and driving.
• Valid forklift driving license, with as valid operator’s card.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic maintenance skills and understanding, transport, warehousing and storage operations.
• Attention to detail.
• Be a reliable, accurate and dependable person.
• Exceptionally good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Initiative, problem identification and solving ability
• No criminal record- Police Clearance certificate not older than 3 months.
• Sober habits.
• Namibian Citizenship.
