Workshop Manager- Windhoek

The position reports to the Chief Transport Officer and is based in Windhoek at our Lafrenz Depot.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include:
• Effective and efficient management of fleet maintenance and repairs of all Company vehicles.
• Managing the workshop and wash-bay staff (performance management, quality control, identify training needs, discipline, etc).
• Cost control management and the compilation of annual workshop budget.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Risk policies.
• Managing the maintenance of workshop equipment.
• Co-ordinate and manage callouts and accident scenes.
• Any other duties in line with the responsibilities of a Workshop Manager.

The suitable applicant will possess:
• Grade 12.
• N6 Technical qualification with a valid trade certificate.
• 15 years of relevant applied experience, with at least 5 years at a managerial level.
• Police clearance certificate (not older than 3 months) – No criminal record.
• Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused, presentable, and good communication skills.
• Hard-working individual with sober habits.
• Valid CE Driver’s License.
• Computer literacy.
• Namibian Citizenship.
