following challenging career opportunity for a suitable candidate in Walvis Bay.
DIESEL MECHANIC
Please note that this advert will run concurrently with an external one.
The position’s key performance areas are:
• Perform service and repairs on reach stackers and other transport equipment.
• Other general duties in line with the responsibilities and scope of a Diesel Mechanic.
The suitable candidate will meet the following requirements:
• A Namibian Citizen.
• Must have a valid CE driver’s license.
• Have Grade 12 and be a qualified Diesel Mechanic (trade test completed) with a minimum of 5 years’
experience Diesel Mechanic in transport / automotive industry.
• Must have excellent knowledge of equipment / trucks / forklifts (Mercedes Benz Actros / Steelbro Side
Loaders / Kalmar / Cone Crane Reach Stackers).
• Must have a valid Code of Conduct (Police Clearance Certificate) not older than 3 months.
• Must have sober habits.
• Must be open minded and willing to learn.
• Must be computer literate, have good diagnostic skills, the ability to work as part of a team and to work
under pressure.
• Must have excellent interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to supervise and guide others.
• Must be able to cope with a demanding work life.
• Have knowledge of the applicable Health & Safety Laws.
