2 x FORKLIFT OPERATORS WAREHOUSE – WALVIS BAY DEPOT
The position’s key performance areas are:
• Daily pre-operation inspection of the forklift.
• Daily ensure the forklift is in a clean condition and washed properly.
• Ensure the forklift is the right equipment for the job.
• Conduct a risk assessment and analysis.
• Report accidents / incidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Complete the task safely and effectively.
• Allowed to stop the job and report to the supervisor if not satisfied with safety requirements.
• Perform any other duties as may be requested from time to time as might be reasonably expected from a Forklift Operator Warehouse.
The suitable candidate will meet the following requirements:
• Namibian Citizen with a valid forklift license (minimum 7 Ton and above).
• Grade 12 with a minimum of 1 year’s relevant experience as a forklift driver.
• Knowledge of bulk bag loading and off-loading procedures will be an added advantage.
• Have excellent communication skills – read, write, speak (English and Afrikaans).
• Must have high attention to detail.
• Be able to work in a team as well as independently and under pressure.
• Be hard working with have sober habits.
• Must have a valid code of conduct (Police Clearance) not older than 3 months.
