FUEL DISPENSER & YARD OPERATOR X 1 – WALVIS BAY
Please note that this advert will run concurrently with an external one.

The position’s main responsibilities are:

• Perform dip readings every morning prior to first fill-up and record reading on daily Fuel sheet.
• Fill-up trucks and other company vehicles with diesel.
• General maintenance of diesel pumps and reporting of defects to management.
• Complete Fuel Slips with correct pump readings and amount of fuel dispensed and carry info over to daily sheet.
• Submit completed sheet & fuel slips daily to the Office.
• Keep fueling station clean and neat.
• Must be flexible to assist after hours/weekends for refueling of vehicles.
• Assist with cleaning and washing of trucks and other company vehicles.
• Assist with the offloading of fuel delivery tanker.
• Ensure loads are secured and that nets and sails are properly fastened.
• Perform any other duties (weighbridge, repairing of tarpaulins & cleaning and washing of tarpaulins and watering of garden) as may be requested from time as might be reasonably expected.
• Must be flexible to assist after hours / weekends for refueling of vehicles.

The suitable candidate will meet the following minimum requirements:

• Namibian Citizen.
• Grade 10 & Forklift License.
• Must have computer skills.
• Knowledge of manganese off-loading procedures will be an added advantage.
• Have excellent communication skills – read, write, speak (English and Afrikaans).
• Must have high attention to detail with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Must be able to do problem solving.
• Must be stress resilient.
• Must have sober habits.
• Must have a valid code of conduct (Police Clearance) not older than 3 months.
