Fraud Alert!
The purpose of this communication is to alert our clients of a fraudulent scam that has come to our attention. Please be vigilant in the transport of your goods to avoid falling victim to this fraudulent activity.
Description of the Scam
The modus operandi of this scam is that customers buy goods online or on social media. The seller then informs them that goods are ready to be sent, forwards the waybill details and requests payment before the courier will deliver the goods.
The communication from the fraudster might even be followed up by a telephone call confirming that they are from Jet.X Couriers, and that they have received the parcel and are awaiting payment before the items can be dispatched.Action to Take
We recommend that clients confirm a shipment before payment, by contacting us via telephone or e-mail.
We only accept the following methods of payment:EFT (Bank confirmation letter can be sent upon request) Point of Sales (Facilities available at all main branches) PayToday
We will not request any client to make a payment via e-wallet. We cannot be held responsible for any loss due to these fraudulent activities.
