FORKLIFT & REACH STACKER OPERATOR x 1 – SHORT HAUL WALVIS BAY DEPOT

The position’s key performance areas are:

• Daily pre-operation inspection of the Forklift / Reach Stacker.
• Ensure the Forklift / Reach Stacker in in a clean condition (daily).
• Ensure the Forklift / Reach Stacker is in the right equipment for the job.
• Conduct a risk assessment and analysis.
• Complete pre-trip checklist and ensure that the Reach Stacker or forklift is in proper working
condition before starting a scheduled job.
• Conduct a route analysis.
• Report all accidents / incidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Complete task safely and effectively.
• Allowed to stop the job and report to the supervisor if not satisfied with safety requirements.
• Employees who are qualified on a 30 Ton forklift will be used to operate all smaller category forklifts
as instructed form his superiors.
• Perform any other duties as may be requested from time to time as might be reasonably expected from a
Forklift / Reach Stacker Operator.

The suitable candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Namibian Citizen
• Valid CE license, with a Forklift and Reach Stacker licence and operating card.
• 5 years’ experience as a Forklift and Reach Stacker Operator.
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. (English and Afrikaans)
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Must have high attention to detail.
• Must have sober habits.
• Must have a valid Code of Conduct Certificate (Not Older than 3 months).
