The FP du Toit Transport Group has since its formation in 1968, diversified from a solely long-haul operation to one which includes Jet.X Couriers (an express road and air courier service), Pro Parcel (a part-load and distribution operation), as well as Wesbank Transport (cross border and national transport). This is In line with our strategy to offer our clients a complete range of services to satisfy all their logistical requirements.

This position reports to the Accounts Receivable Manager and is based in Windhoek at Brakwater.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include:
โ€ข Matching proof of delivery documents (PODโ€™s) to the trip sheets upon receipt, and immediately follow up
on any outstanding documents.
โ€ข Checking that all invoices/ waybills are signed upon receipt.
โ€ข Scanning and indexing border documentation etc. (SAD500, EDI, CN2)
โ€ข Checking PODโ€™s for completeness before indexing
โ€ข Assist with rectifications on the Parcel Perfect system
โ€ข Complete documentation (Invoice and POD)
โ€ข Capturing and printing of invoices
โ€ข Scan processed invoices & proof of deliveries daily
โ€ข Daily forwarding of proof of deliveries & invoices to our esteemed clientele
โ€ข Ensure that all waybills are followed up where documents are not received
โ€ข Other general administrative duties in line with the responsibilities of an Invoicing clerk.

The suitable applicant will have:
โ€ข Valid grade 12 (with at least 23 points), preferably with a Certificate in Accounting
โ€ข 5 yearsโ€™ applied experience in the transport/logistics industry.
โ€ข Computer literacy-being proficient in Parcel Perfect and Microsoft office will be an added advantage
โ€ข A sense of urgency with the ability to work accurately.
โ€ข Proficient in English and Afrikaans
โ€ข Attention to detail, and dependable person
โ€ข Ability to work under pressure, and possess good problem-solving skills
โ€ข Able to accept and execute instructions
โ€ข Willingness to listen and learn
โ€ข Police clearance certificate (not older than 3 months) – No criminal record
โ€ข Exceptional customer service background, presentable and good communication skills
โ€ข Namibian Citizenship
