ASSISTANT CRANE MECHANIC
Please note that this advert will run concurrently with an external one.

The position’s key performance areas are:
• Perform service and repairs on cranes and other mining equipment.
• Other general duties in line with the responsibilities and scope of an Assistant Crane Mechanic.

The suitable candidate will meet the following requirements:
• A Namibian Citizen.
• Must have a valid Code B driver’s license.
• Have Grade 12 and be a have 3 years’ experience as an assistant crane mechanic in the transport / automotive industry (Auto Electrics / Electronics).
• Must have excellent knowledge of equipment Liebherr / Sany / Grove Cranes & Scania.
• Must have strong understanding of hydraulics, mechanical & electrical systems.
• Have a valid Code of Conduct (Police Clearance Certificate) not older than 3 months.
• Must have sober habits.
• Be open minded, willing to learn and able to make plans & have practical insight.
• Must be computer literate, have excellent analytical & good diagnostic skills and do fault finding.
• Be able to work as part of a team and to work under pressure.
• Have excellent interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to supervise and guide others.
• Must be able to cope with a demanding work life & be detail orientated.
• Have knowledge of the applicable Health & Safety Laws.
