Windhoek This position reports to the Depot Manager and is based in Windhoek at Brakwater.
Key responsibilities include:
• Ensure driver and fleet representative are present whist vehicles are loaded.
• Report all damages and diligently complete and submit accident reports/case numbers.
• Responsible for debriefing drivers after each trip and that all POD’s are completed.
• Ensure the vehicles are properly maintained.
• Inspection, briefing and debriefing drivers daily.
• Ensure freight moved, off-loaded, loaded, is secure and safely and correctly handled.
• Book regular driver training.
• Ensure all pick-ups and delivery are done daily.
• Daily fleet planning.
• Any other duties in line with the responsibilities of a Key Accounts Supervisor.
The suitable applicant will have
• Grade 10 or 12 Certificate with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Transport environment.
• Certificate or Diploma in logistics and transport added advantage
• Must be able to lead a team under pressure.
• Must have a high level of accuracy and a high regard for attention to detail.
• Must have strong administrative, organizational and planning skills / ability.
• Must have good English communication skills – understand, read and write
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
• Must have a valid Code of Conduct (Police Clearance) not older than 3 months.
• Namibian Citizenship.
