This position reports to the Depot Manager and is based in Windhoek at Brakwater.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include:
• Managing maintenance planning of Local Fleet.
• Responsible for load planning, route planning, driver scheduling and allocation of appropriate vehicles to optimize the entire Jet.X operation.
• Responsible for cost control as per budget.
• Pre/Post trip briefings and driver management.
• Management of fuel and fuel cards.
• Update tracking board as per instructions.
• Petty cash reconciliations at intervals as stipulated by management.
• Ensure there is sufficient provision made for trip monies paid out to drivers.
• Ensure drivers trip sheets are fully completed before approving document bonuses.
• Responsible for all administrative duties related to the transport process.
• Manage and maintain all cell and 3CA devices, for paperless deliveries within Namibia.
The suitable applicant will possess:
• A valid grade 12 (with at least 23 points), with a Certificate in Transport and Logistics.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field of Logistics and Fleet Management.
• Knowledge of route planning, scheduling, vehicle tracking and driver management.
• Excellent communication, planning and organizing skills.
• Flexibility, adaptability and ability to work in a diverse cultural and social environment.
• The ability to make sound decisions and to work long hours under pressure.
• Must have technical knowledge of vehicles (specially with regards to load capacity and operational functionality).
• Valid CE driver’s license.
• Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Namibian Citizenship.
• Valid Code of Conduct (Police Clearance Certificate) not older than 3 months.
