Full-time This position reports to the Depot Manager and is based Iin Windhoek at our Brakwater Depot.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include:
Ensure safe and secure, handling, loading and off- loading of consignments. Be present whilst loading and report any damages/anomalies, to Supervisor/Manager prior to departure.
Ensure consignments are off-loaded, where applicable and when approved, in designated areas in a safe and manner area and obtain the necessary proof of delivery and other applicable documents from the customer.
Adhere to procedures related to re-fueling, handling of fuel cards, petty cash, etc, in line with Company Policy.
Adhere to health and safety regulations on Company and Customer premises.
Adhere to road safety regulations.
Adhere to security measures, including unpacking, inspections, quality checks, etc.
Perform daily pre and post trip, vehicle inspections and reports defects immediately.
Ensure truck and cab is clean and neat at all times.
Ensure all fragile/fridge-line/high value consignments are handled/loaded correctly.
The suitable applicant will possess:
A valid Grade 10/12 (with at least 23 points)
3 years applied driving experience.
Valid applicable Code CE Driver’s License with valid PDP
Police clearance certificate (not older than 3 months) – No criminal record
Must be proficient in delivering freight timeously and without any damages.
Attention to detail with problem-solving skills.
Customer focused, presentable and good communication skills.
