This position reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and is based at our Brakwater Depot in Windhoek.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include:
• Maintain, retain, manage and grow our customer base.
• Grow sales through identifying business opportunities.
• Build long-term customer relationships.
• Gain an understanding of customers requirements, implementing, measuring and monitoring improvements on customers’ requirements.
• Keep abreast with current trends and opposition is activities.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through deliverance of excellent service.
• Compiling accurate quotations and the achievement of the agreed sales targets.
• Visiting customers (current and new) and submission of weekly business reports.
• Managing and completing relevant administrative duties, in line with that of a Sales Executive.

The suitable applicant will have
• A valid Grade 12 (with at least 32 points).
• A Diploma/Degree in Sales and/or Marketing
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the transportation industry, including knowledge of trucking operations, regulations and risk factors
(Express Freight, Full loads & Break bulk loads).
• Proven success in sales.
• Familiarity with various sales methodologies, such as Solution Selling.
• Computer literate with advanced Excel skills (Knowledge of Parcel Perfect, will be an advantage).
• Demonstrated leadership skills and a meticulous work ethic.
• Analytical Abilities: The ability to analyze and interpret sales data is crucial.
• Good negotiator with excellent interpersonal skills and must be “Driven to deliver.”
• Attention to detail and good administrative skills.
• Customer orientated and good problem-solving skills.
• Namibian citizenship with Sober Habits.
• A valid driver’s license, with own reliable transport.
